Over the past year, the Trump family has been actively involved in numerous real estate ventures globally. These projects, often involving foreign governments, have sparked a series of ethical questions. However, only one of these ventures has resulted in a publicly announced criminal investigation targeting local officials.
This investigation was initiated following the actions of a group of cultural preservationists in Serbia. They challenged their own government, indirectly confronting the close relatives of the then-American president.
The project in question involves President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who has a deal with the Serbian government. The plan is to construct a substantial hotel and apartment complex in Belgrade, the capital city. The Trump Organization, managed by the president’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr., is also involved, as the luxury hotel will be branded with the Trump name.
The Serbian government took steps to facilitate the project shortly after the re-election of Mr. Trump. They declared that the site, a building damaged during a 1999 conflict and considered a symbol of Serbian suffering, was no longer protected as a cultural asset. This decision cleared the path for the Trump family's development plans.

Once again, it seems like the law is not for the privileged. This is why we need stricter regulations on political figures' business dealings!
