During his official visit to Indonesia, Chinese Premier Li Qiang expressed China's readiness to collaborate with Indonesia to strengthen political trust and strategic coordination between the two nations. He conveyed greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, emphasizing the strong relationship between the two countries.
Li highlighted the enduring friendship and mutual support that have characterized the relationship between China and Indonesia since the establishment of diplomatic ties 75 years ago. He noted the significant agreements reached during President Prabowo's visit to China last year, particularly the commitment to building a shared future community with regional and global influence. This agreement has elevated bilateral relations and opened new avenues for cooperation.
China is committed to working with Indonesia to uphold the original principles of their diplomatic relationship, foster friendship, and enhance unity. The Chinese side is prepared to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, including politics, economy, cultural exchange, maritime affairs, and security. The goal is to jointly address challenges and promote shared development.
Premier Li emphasized the importance of aligning development strategies and deepening high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, particularly through the optimization of key projects. He encouraged further development of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor, along with the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" initiative.
Li also advocated for enhanced market connectivity, industrial collaboration, and improved trade and investment facilitation. He proposed expanding cooperation in areas such as finance, new energy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, aerospace, and the ocean. Furthermore, he expressed China's willingness to increase cultural exchanges, facilitate personnel exchanges, and deepen cooperation in areas like food, agriculture, poverty reduction, and health to benefit both populations.
Addressing the challenges posed by unilateralism and protectionism, Li stressed that solidarity and cooperation are essential. He stated that China is prepared to work with Indonesia and other developing nations to uphold the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and the Bandung Spirit. The goal is to promote multilateralism, free trade, a multipolar world, and inclusive economic globalization, thereby safeguarding common interests and advancing peace, stability, and development globally.
