The COVID-19 epidemic in China is currently experiencing its first peak of the year, though some provinces are showing signs of a decline. This information was shared by a researcher from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Since March, there has been an increase in COVID-19 infections. Other acute respiratory diseases, however, have remained at a low level of transmission. Data indicates that the activity of COVID-19 is more pronounced in the southern provinces compared to the northern regions.
Despite the rise in cases, the number of fever clinic visits and severe cases across the country has not surpassed previous levels observed during past outbreaks. Normal healthcare services are not significantly impacted.
The majority of reported cases are mild in nature. Current testing kits and available medications continue to be effective in managing the illness.
The researcher recommended that children, the elderly, and individuals with severe chronic illnesses take personal preventative measures and consider vaccination to protect themselves.

I’m not buying this narrative that everything is fine. It’s time to take stronger action!

Overconfidence can lead to disaster. History shows us that underestimating COVID can have dire consequences.

Encouraged to hear that the situation is manageable and that nothing has exceeded previous peaks.
