A representative group from the National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army of China is scheduled to attend the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, following an official invitation. This visit will span from Thursday to Monday, during which the delegation plans to interact with various military and civilian organizations in Singapore.
According to Zhang Xiaogang, the spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, China's involvement in such dialogue platforms aims to promote mutual understanding and collaboration with all participants. The delegation intends to engage in detailed discussions with numerous groups to foster a wider agreement on defense matters.
When inquired about the possibility of interactions between Chinese and US representatives at the event, Zhang indicated that further information would be provided at an appropriate time. He reaffirmed China's commitment to its defense relationship with the United States, expressing an openness to dialogue across different levels. Zhang also stated that China hopes the US will genuinely acknowledge its essential interests and concerns, working together to enhance stable and healthy military relations between the two nations.
