The driver, previously identified as Isaih Moreno from Humble, Texas, had a blood alcohol content of 0.20, according to a statement from the Idaho State Police. The legal limit for blood alcohol content is 0.08, as reported by AP.
The accident, which occurred on the evening of May 1, resulted in the deaths of five Chinese citizens and injuries to eight others. This was confirmed by the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco on May 2, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.
The collision took place on a highway near Henry's Lake State Park, approximately 26 kilometers west of Yellowstone National Park. This information was provided in a press release from the Idaho State Police, according to Xinhua.
