Asda Issues Chicken and Pork Recalls, Tesco Pulls Cushion

Asda has announced an urgent product recall for its Sliced Hot & Spicy Chicken Breast Slices. The recall is due to an incorrect use-by date printed on the packaging. The affected product has a use-by date of May 30.

Customers who have purchased the chicken slices with the incorrect date are advised to return them to their nearest Asda store. In a separate incident, Asda previously recalled its Simple To Cook Asian Inspired Pork Belly Slices. This recall was prompted by the potential presence of undeclared milk and sulphites in the product. The affected items had a use-by date of April 25.

The presence of these allergens poses a health risk to individuals with allergies or intolerances to milk or sulphites. Customers who bought the pork belly slices with the specified use-by date were instructed to return them to their local Asda store for a full refund.

Tesco has also issued a product recall for a cushion sold in its stores. The Me to You Hugs and Kisses Cushion, manufactured by Carte Blanche Greetings, has been removed from shelves. The recall was initiated because the cushion failed to meet UK fire safety standards.
