The China Coast Guard (CCG) reported that it had authorized and overseen a Philippine resupply mission on Wednesday. The mission was directed towards a warship that had been deliberately grounded at Ren'ai Reef in the South China Sea.
According to CCG spokesman Liu Dejun, the Philippines sent a civilian vessel to deliver supplies to the grounded boat. This action was undertaken with the permission of the Chinese authorities.
During the resupply operation, the CCG conducted inquiries, verification procedures, and provided full supervision of the Philippine vessel.
China has called on the Philippines to uphold its existing commitments and to collaborate in managing the maritime situation. The CCG also stated its intention to continue its lawful activities in the Nansha Islands, including Ren'ai Reef and surrounding waters, to protect its rights and enforce its laws.

This so-called collaboration is just a facade. The CCG will never act in the Philippines' best interest.

This signals weakness on the part of the Philippines. We need a government that stands firm against bullying.

Why are we taking orders from China when they should respect our territorial integrity?

China seems open to dialogue. Maybe this is an opportunity for a peaceful resolution.

Allowing the CCG to supervise is just feeding the dragon! The Philippines should be wary.

China offers 'support' with ulterior motives. The Philippines is playing a dangerous game here!

Using a civilian vessel is wise! It shows a peaceful approach to resupplying the grounded ship.

It's a positive move to report and involve China during such missions; communication is important.
