Ex-Royal Priest Investigated for Alleged Teenage Rape

A former priest of the royal household is currently under investigation following allegations of rape against a teenage girl. Due to legal constraints, the priest's identity cannot be disclosed. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the allegation of historic child sexual abuse, stating that the victim is receiving support from specialist officers, and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made. The woman ended contact with the priest to pursue her education, but has since struggled with her mental health and required hospitalization. The allegations are likely to draw further scrutiny towards the Church of England, which has faced numerous scandals in recent years.
