Dan Caldwell, a former top advisor to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, alleges he was fired as part of a "deep state" plot. He was accused of leaking sensitive information to the media. Caldwell, along with two other officials, was escorted from the Pentagon last week. He denies responsibility for the leaks, which have led to calls for Hegseth's dismissal.
Speaking on a conservative podcast, Caldwell suggested the firings were linked to his loyalty to Hegseth and President Donald Trump. He claimed the investigation was weaponized against them due to personal vendettas.
Caldwell's remarks followed a report that Hegseth shared details of military strikes in Yemen in a private Signal group. Caldwell and another ousted official were allegedly part of this group. The third person forced out of the department was not.
Caldwell claimed they were targeted for disrupting federal agency norms. He accused career staff and former officials of orchestrating the leaks, citing their hostility towards the secretary, the president, and the vice president's views.
Hegseth, however, blamed the fired staffers for the leaks and accused them of trying to sabotage the president's agenda. He stated the leaks were an attempt to get back at him. President Trump has dismissed the report as "fake news" and continues to support Hegseth.

It's sad that hearing dissenting opinions in government is taken as a threat. Caldwell is right to speak up!

The government is full of people who don’t like change. Caldwell is a victim of a political witch hunt!

It's about time someone spoke out against the deep state! Caldwell deserves support for standing by Hegseth and Trump.

If Caldwell was standing up for the president, then he should be celebrated, not fired. Let’s support him!

It’s not just about Caldwell; it's about defending the values that the Trump administration stands for.

I believe Caldwell's claims! There's definitely a deep state that works against the president's agenda.
