On Monday, security forces in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir successfully detonated a high explosive mortar shell. The shell had been discovered in Manyal village, located in the Thanamandi area.
Prior to this, on April 20th, the Jammu and Kashmir Police made arrests in connection with a suspected narcotics operation. During a routine vehicle check at the Phalata naka point on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, officers apprehended three individuals.
The police seized a substance resembling heroin, weighing 22 grams. The suspects were traveling from Jammu towards Udhampur when they were stopped.
The individuals arrested have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmed, a resident of Srinagar, and Farooq and Mohd Kamal Hussain, both from Delhi. A case has been filed at the Rehambal Police Station. The charges relate to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police investigations are ongoing to identify and dismantle the larger network involved in the smuggling attempt.

Srinagar and Delhi? That's going to fuel more division. They'll use this to paint a certain narrative.
