A mini-heatwave is expected to bring sizzling temperatures to parts of the UK, but the warm weather won't be felt everywhere. While many areas anticipate sun-filled celebrations around the May Day Bank Holiday, several regions are likely to miss out on the heat. East Anglia is predicted to experience the highest temperatures, with the southeast also set to enjoy the warmth.
However, these mid-twenty-degree conditions will not be evenly distributed. Several counties, including those in the southwest, the Midlands, and parts of northern England, are forecast to miss the heatwave. This list extends to areas in the north and northwest, as well as the Isle of Wight.
Forecasts suggest that the southeast could see highs of 22C, while most of England will experience temperatures in the high teens. Looking ahead to the Easter weekend, the north and northwest might see the best of the sunshine on Easter Sunday. The south, however, faces the possibility of rain showers, which could become more frequent and heavy across England and Wales by Easter Monday, potentially including thunderstorms.
Weather experts predict a largely sunny Easter weekend with some showers, particularly in the southwest and western areas, during Good Friday and the early part of the Bank Holiday weekend. The possibility of wintry precipitation or snow in late April seems less likely based on current models, although this could still change. Further unsettled conditions with heavy rain are expected to continue influencing the weather, particularly in the south and west of the country.

Another disappointing forecast! It seems like even when the sun does come out, it only shines on a few lucky areas.

There’s no point in getting excited about a few warm days if most of the population is going to miss out!

Let’s enjoy what we can! Even if some places miss the heat, those lucky enough to catch it should make the most of it.
