A collision involving four vehicles occurred earlier today, leading to the closure of the A2 westbound. This incident caused significant traffic delays in the area, extending onto the M25.
The closure of the A2 westbound, between the B255 Bean and the M25 (J2), was attributed to a collision that resulted in an overturned car. Emergency services from Kent were present at the scene, along with National Highways traffic officers assisting with road closures.
At its peak, congestion on the approach to the closure reached several miles. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of the crash, which took place on the A2 London-bound, just before the M25 turnoff. Fire crews managed the scene and isolated a hybrid vehicle involved in the incident.
Five individuals were attended to by paramedics. The A2 was temporarily closed while emergency services managed the scene.
South-East expressed gratitude to drivers for their patience during the disruption.

Five people injured? That's awful. But also, how long will this take to clear? Need to get home!

It's tough, but let's all remember that it's just a traffic jam!

This is exactly why I take the train whenever possible. Road travel is becoming unbearable.
