Tomorrow, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are expected to celebrate Easter with their family. They will participate in a church service alongside other members of the Royal Family. Following the service, they will attend an Easter Sunday dinner at Windsor Castle.
A cherished Easter tradition is anticipated to follow the dinner. While the Royal Family has not officially commented, it is widely believed that an Easter egg hunt is held annually after the Easter lunch. This tradition is thought to have originated during Queen Victoria's reign.
Queen Victoria, as a child, enjoyed searching for painted eggs. In 1833, she wrote about her mother creating "painted and ornamented eggs" for the royal children. She is believed to have continued this tradition with her own children after becoming Queen, with her husband, Prince Albert, participating as well. The Easter egg hunt is believed to continue to this day. Royal expert and author Tom Quinn has suggested that Prince Harry may miss this tradition now that he is no longer a working royal.
Last year, Mr. Quinn stated that the Royal Family typically gathers at Windsor on Easter Sunday for a service in St. George’s Chapel, followed by a brief public appearance and a traditional roast lamb lunch. He added that Harry always enjoyed meeting the public during this time. Mr. Quinn also mentioned that Harry's children would miss the Easter egg hunt.

Another day, another reminder of the outdated monarchy. Time for relevance, not tradition.

Meanwhile, real families are struggling to afford Easter. Tone deaf.

Why are we still paying for this? Taxes at their worst.
