The National Administration of State Secrets Protection released a public service video on Wednesday. The video focused on potential secrecy risks encountered in everyday situations. It stressed that protecting state secrets begins with individual actions. The goal was to strengthen public awareness that safeguarding state secrets is a responsibility shared by all citizens.
The video, "the guardianship at your fingertips," demonstrated the risks of information leaks and violations of state secrets. It presented scenarios involving Office Automation systems, image-text recognition software, smartwatches, livestreaming platforms, and mobile phone usage. The video emphasized the importance of everyday actions in protecting sensitive information, encouraging the public to increase their awareness of security and confidentiality.
The video's core message was that protecting state secrets is a shared responsibility, and every citizen has a role to play.
In addition to the video, the National Administration of State Secrets Protection also created and distributed public service posters. These materials were designed to promote the principles and common knowledge related to protecting state secrets. The posters explained the duties and obligations of citizens in maintaining confidentiality, with the aim of building a strong public defense for safeguarding state secrets.
The release of these materials coincided with the 2025 National Security Education Day. Various thematic activities were held across China to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining national security.
