China's Foreign Ministry Responds to US Travel Risk Alert for Chinese Tourists

In a recent statement regarding a travel risk alert from China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism aimed at Chinese tourists visiting the United States, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian conveyed that the alert results from ongoing and aggressive pressure tactics applied by the US towards China. He described this behavior as hegemonic and bullying, asserting that it has significantly harmed the foundational social and public opinion dynamics essential for maintaining stable China-US relations.

Furthermore, Lin underscored that these actions have disrupted cooperative engagements and exchanges across various sectors between the two nations. He reaffirmed China's commitment to fiercely defending its legitimate rights and interests, asserting that the country will take necessary and decisive actions in response. The alert issued by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism also referred to the recent decline in economic and trade relations with the US as well as concerns surrounding domestic safety conditions in America.
