Early Monday morning, China launched a new test satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, located in the southwestern Sichuan Province. The purpose of this launch was to test new communication technologies.
The satellite was propelled into space by a Long March-3B rocket. The launch occurred at 1:17 a.m. Beijing Time. Following the launch, the satellite successfully entered its designated orbit.
According to the launch center, the primary function of the satellite will be to validate multi-band and high-speed communication technologies. This will allow for the testing and development of advanced communication capabilities.
This mission also represented a significant milestone. It was the 562nd launch in the Long March carrier rocket series, demonstrating the ongoing advancements in China's space program.
