Norris Frustrated After Mistake-Ridden Bahrain Grand Prix

Lando Norris, currently leading the Formula One standings, admitted to a series of errors during the Bahrain Grand Prix. He acknowledged making too many mistakes, particularly with overtakes and his starting position, leading to a "messy race." He expressed difficulty in feeling connected with his car.

The issues began in qualifying, where Norris secured only sixth place while his teammate, Oscar Piastri, claimed pole position. Norris described feeling "clueless on track" during qualifying. The race start presented further challenges as he positioned his car outside the designated grid box.

Despite a safety car period that compressed the field, Norris struggled to overtake Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, eventually managing to do so late in the race. He finished behind Mercedes' George Russell. Norris expressed mixed feelings about the race, acknowledging the car's strong performance, as demonstrated by Piastri, but regretting his own mistakes.

Norris highlighted the positives of the race, but also admitted that he made mistakes. He mentioned that he pitted earlier than others, pushed hard, and then paid the price for having hotter and older tires. He felt that for every positive action, he made two negative ones.

Norris continued to be critical of his performance, openly discussing the challenges he's facing.
