On Monday, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence (MND) reported the presence of six sorties of PLA aircraft and seven PLAN vessels operating near its territory. The detections were recorded up until 6 AM (UTC+8).
The MND also noted that two of the six aircraft sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's southwestern ADIZ. The ministry stated that it was monitoring the situation and responding accordingly.
Earlier on Sunday, the MND reported the detection of six People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels operating around the island as of 6 am (UTC+8). No PLA aircraft were detected during that timeframe.
These ongoing incursions and maritime operations highlight the increasing tensions between Taiwan and China. Taiwan governs itself independently, maintaining its own political and economic systems.
China, however, views Taiwan as part of its territory under the "One China" principle. The dispute stems from the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949, when the ROC government retreated to Taiwan.
Beijing continues to pursue reunification, employing military, diplomatic, and economic pressure on Taiwan. Despite these efforts, Taiwan maintains its de facto independence and asserts its sovereignty. The MND regularly monitors and publicly reports these military activities.

This is blatant intimidation from Beijing. Taiwan has every right to self-determination!

Taiwan should just rejoin China peacefully. It’s the only way to ensure peace in the region.
