China's Military to Implement Revised Drug Administration Guidelines
Chairman Xi Jinping, in his capacity as chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), has authorized the release of updated guidelines concerning the implementation of drug administration laws within the Chinese armed forces. This directive was formalized through an order signed by him.
The document, a collaborative effort, was jointly published by the State Council of China and the CMC. Premier Li Qiang also contributed to its release by signing a State Council decree.
The revised guidelines are scheduled to become effective on June 1st. Their primary objective is to improve the management of pharmaceuticals within the military.
The updated regulations focus on several key areas. These include strengthening the management of military drug reserves, guaranteeing a consistent supply of medicines, encouraging the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals, and refining the management of medications specifically required by the military.
Furthermore, the guidelines have been revised to bolster oversight and ensure the safety of drugs within the armed forces. This involves enhancing the quality sampling and inspection system for military medicines. New regulations have been introduced to manage drug safety risks, and mechanisms to address and prevent illegal activities will be further improved.
