NYPD Investigates Hate Crime After Woman Vandalizes Tesla Cybertruck with Swastika
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is currently investigating a hate crime incident in Brooklyn. They are searching for a female suspect who allegedly vandalized a man's Tesla Cybertruck. The incident occurred within a Jewish community.
According to an NYPD news release, the Hate Crime Task Force is involved in the investigation. The incident is classified as "hate crime criminal mischief." The event took place within the jurisdiction of the 66th Precinct.
The incident occurred on Monday, just before 5 p.m. A 38-year-old man had parked his Tesla Cybertruck near 617 Ditmas Ave. A white woman with long blonde hair is alleged to have placed a brick bearing a swastika on top of the vehicle.
In addition to the brick, the woman reportedly dumped garbage and placed a black garbage bag on the Cybertruck. She then fled the scene on a Razor scooter, heading west on Ditmas Avenue. The suspect was last seen wearing a pink hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black rain boots.
Authorities reported no injuries resulting from the incident. The incident follows a warning from the FBI regarding the targeting of Tesla electric vehicles. The FBI reported incidents of arson, gunfire, and vandalism across at least nine states since January 2025.
