Arrest Made in Connection with Woman’s Death at Key Largo Resort
Authorities in Monroe County have taken a kayak guide into custody regarding the death of a 43-year-old woman, Nadyne Marie Tillman, who went missing while staying at a resort in Key Largo, Florida. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reported that they received information about Tillman's disappearance from her family, who were unable to contact her since Saturday. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Tillman had met Dylan Lamb, a 33-year-old guide, at the Amoray Beach Resort on the morning she was last seen.
After searching Lamb's accommodation, police located Tillman's body within a closet, concealed under a water heater, and noted injuries indicating she had been beaten. A local resident recounted observing Tillman's daughter searching for her mother near Lamb's room and described the unsettling behavior of Lamb during their stay. Hotel staff had raised concerns about Lamb's conduct, leading them to inquire about transferring him to another room, a request he reportedly dismissed.
As the investigation unfolded, deputies found three trash bags in Lamb's room filled with heavily stained linens, which were later deemed critical evidence for the case after being disposed of by hotel staff. Text messages between Lamb and Tillman prompted authorities to examine his room, revealing the gruesome scene of her death. A detective reported visible severe injuries on Tillman's body, including multiple facial traumas.
Further investigations indicated that Lamb, who had prior legal issues related to grand theft auto, had employed Tillman as an escort. He allegedly admitted to striking her after a dispute arose regarding payment for her services, which he claimed led to her becoming unconscious. However, investigators assessed that Tillman's injuries were inconsistent with a single hit. Lamb ultimately confessed to concealing her body and cleaning the scene in a panic, having failed to seek help from emergency services to prevent facing legal consequences. Facing several grave charges, including second-degree murder and evidence tampering, Lamb's arraignment is set for May 13.
