Paxton, known for his fiery conservative approach and strong association with President Trump, had hinted at his plans for weeks prior to the announcement. In an interview with The New York Times last week, he nearly confirmed his candidacy; however, his official announcement came during an appearance on Fox News, where he showcased a campaign website featuring an image of himself with Trump.

During the interview with Laura Ingraham, Paxton stated that he believes Texas is ready for a change and voiced his commitment to fight for Trump's policies. He communicated his determination to challenge the D.C. establishment vigorously, promising to advocate for a more conservative approach in Washington.
