Suzuki's Strong Bat Leads Cubs to Victory Over Rangers
Seiya Suzuki continued his strong performance, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs in his second consecutive game with multiple hits. The Chicago Cubs secured a 10-6 victory over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday.
Suzuki's key contribution came in the second inning. With the bases loaded and two outs, he drove a two-run single to left field, giving the Cubs a 3-2 lead. This hit came off a 2-1 cutter from Patrick Corbin.
Suzuki's success continued as he singled in the first inning and then again to start the fifth. His teammates capitalized on the subsequent base hits, loading the bases. A sacrifice fly by Dansby Swanson brought Suzuki home, extending the Cubs' lead to 4-3. Nico Hoerner then added two more runs with a single.
The Rangers managed to tie the game at 6-6 in the eighth inning. However, two errors by the Rangers proved costly. The Cubs capitalized, scoring four crucial runs in the bottom of the eighth. Swanson and Pete Crow-Armstrong each contributed two RBIs with singles, ultimately securing the win for the Cubs.
