China Achieves Historic Results at 2025 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup

The 2025 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup concluded in Singapore on Sunday. The Chinese men's basketball team achieved its best result ever, securing the silver medal after a close final match. They were defeated by Australia by a margin of two points.

The Chinese women's team also had a successful tournament, earning the bronze medal. Zhou Mengyun was recognized for her performance and was selected for the Women's All-Star Team.

The men's team, composed of Guo Hanyu, Yan Peng, Zhang Dianliang, and Xiang Zhichao, advanced through the quarterfinals with a decisive 19-11 victory over Qatar. In the semifinals, they faced Japan and secured a 19-15 win, which propelled them to the final.

In the gold medal match, the Chinese team displayed their best offensive performance of the tournament. The game was closely fought, but Australia ultimately prevailed by two points, securing the gold. Guo Hanyu was a key player, contributing 11 points and 3 rebounds, including four successful long-range shots.

The women's team, featuring Hu Duoling, Li Wenxia, Li Yuyan, and Zhou Mengyun, defeated Vietnam 17-15 in the quarterfinals. They then faced the defending champions, Australia, in the semifinals and lost 15-21. In the bronze medal match, they rebounded with a dominant 21-11 victory over the Philippines. Zhou Mengyun was a standout player, scoring a total of 37 points throughout the tournament.
