The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command has concluded all assigned tasks of the joint exercises conducted between Tuesday and Wednesday. This was confirmed by Senior Colonel Shi Yi, a spokesperson for the PLA Eastern Theater Command, in a statement released on Wednesday.
The exercises served to evaluate the integrated joint operations capabilities of the troops. Colonel Shi emphasized that the troops of the theater command maintain a constant state of high alert. They are committed to further enhancing their combat readiness through rigorous training, with the aim of decisively countering any separatist actions that seek "Taiwan independence."
On Tuesday, the PLA Eastern Theater Command initiated joint exercises, mobilizing its army, navy, air force, and rocket forces to approach Taiwan from various directions. These drills primarily focused on sea-air combat readiness patrols, joint efforts to achieve overall superiority, attacks on maritime and ground targets, and the blockade of critical areas and sea lanes. The purpose was to assess the joint operations capabilities of the participating forces.
Colonel Shi stated that these exercises represent a strong warning and a powerful deterrent against "Taiwan Independence" separatist forces. He further described the actions as legitimate and essential measures to protect China’s sovereignty and national unity.

How can the PLA call this 'legitimate'? It’s just a threat to peace!

China needs to respect Taiwan’s democracy instead of trying to bully them into submission.

Colonel Shi's statements are just empty threats that reveal China's true intentions.

This is just another instance of China flexing its military muscles. It's disgusting.

These exercises are provocative and will only lead to a larger conflict. Simple as that.
