Tony’s Chocolonely has alerted customers about potential contamination in specific batches of two of its chocolate bars. The company announced the warning on April 1st, stating that the issue was not an April Fool's joke and that they prioritize product quality.
The affected chocolate bars are the Everything bars and the Dark Almond Sea Salt bars. Customers who have purchased these bars are urged to return them to the place of purchase to receive a full refund.
162633, 162614, 163061, 4331, 4332, and 4333. Consumers should avoid Dark Almond Sea Salt bars with best-before dates of February 28, 2026, and April 2, 2026. Everything bars with best-before dates between November 26 and 28 of this year are also included in the recall.
The company traced the problem to one of its almond suppliers. An investigation revealed that a limited batch of almonds from a new origin was not adequately processed at the supplier's facility, leading to the presence of small stones in the final product.
Tony’s Chocolonely expressed deep regret for the recall and any inconvenience caused to customers. They emphasized their commitment to consumer safety and satisfaction as the reason for the product recall.
The Food Standards Agency also issued a food alert, advising consumers not to consume the affected products and to return them to the store for a refund or replacement.
In related news, a warning was issued last week regarding a vegetable lasagna sold at Iceland. The lasagna was recalled due to concerns about potential plastic contamination. Customers who bought the 400g pack with best-before dates between July 23 and 30, 2026, are asked to return them. The Food Standards Agency issued a notice explaining the precautionary measures.

If they really care about quality, how did this happen in the first place?

This is just ridiculous! What kind of company lets stones get into their chocolate bars?

Doesn’t make sense that this batch was released if they had issues with the supplier.
