China Denounces US Report Labeling It a Military and Cyber Threat
China has strongly condemned a recent US report that identifies the country as a primary military and cyber threat. The report, published by the US intelligence community, also claims that China is making progress on capabilities that could be used to "capture Taiwan."
In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun accused the US of releasing "irresponsible and biased reports" to promote a false narrative of a "China threat." He argued that the US is using this narrative to stoke competition between major countries and justify suppressing China's development.
Guo emphasized that China's development is driven by its own goals, not by any intention to surpass or supplant other countries. He also reiterated China's firm stance on the Taiwan issue, stating that the country will not tolerate any attempts at "Taiwan independence" and will defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Guo urged the US to abandon its outdated Cold War perspective and stop viewing China as a threat. He called for a more constructive approach to the relationship, based on cooperation and mutual respect.
This incident highlights the ongoing tensions between the US and China, particularly regarding China's growing military and economic power. The US report and China's response demonstrate the complex dynamics at play in this relationship, with both countries seeking to advance their own interests while managing potential conflict.

The US is at it again, fearmongering about China. China isn't a threat, it's just trying to defend itself. The US is the real aggressor here.
