NPC Standing Committee to Hold 14th Session in February
The Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) will convene its 14th session in Beijing on February 24th and 25th. This decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Chairpersons of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over by Zhao Leji, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
The upcoming session will focus on preparations for the third session of the 14th NPC, scheduled for March. Lawmakers will deliberate a report on the work of the NPC Standing Committee, draft agendas for both sessions, and name lists for the presidium, secretary-general, and non-voting delegates.
Additional agenda items include reviewing the draft private economy promotion law, a revised draft of the civil aviation law, reports on NPC deputy qualifications and public complaints handled by the NPC's administrative bodies in 2024, and personnel-related bills.
The meeting also reviewed draft measures for recording and reviewing fiscal budget matters.
