China's Dominance

China Defends Deportation of Uyghurs, Condemns US Sanctions on Thai Officials

US Sanctions Thai Officials for Deporting Uyghurs to China

In response to US Secretary of State Rubio's announcement of visa restrictions and other sanctions against Thai officials for their role in deporting at least 40 Uyghurs to China, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning defended the cooperation between China and Thailand.

Mao stated that the cooperation between the two countries in combating smuggling and other cross-border illegal activities is in accordance with the laws of both countries, as well as international laws and practices. She emphasized that the US has no right to interfere in this matter.

Mao also addressed the US's attempt to politicize the issue, calling it an act of applying double standards to suppress dissents. She pointed out that in fiscal year 2024, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deported over 270,000 undocumented immigrants from 192 countries, marking the highest number of deportations since 2014.

Mao condemned the US's actions as bullying behavior, accusing the US of unjustly accusing, attacking, smearing, sanctioning, and pressuring other countries for their legitimate law enforcement cooperation while simultaneously engaging in mass deportations.

China strongly condemns any malicious slander and illegal sanctions targeting China and Thailand, and resolutely opposes the US using human rights as a pretext to manipulate Xinjiang-related issues, interfere in China's internal affairs, and disrupt normal law enforcement cooperation between China and relevant countries, Mao said.

China will continue to strengthen communication and coordination with relevant countries on the basis of mutual respect and equal consultation, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens, and enhance international law enforcement cooperation, she noted.

It is important for the international community to stand up to China's human rights abuses. The US taking this action is an important step in holding China accountable.

The US is trying to use human rights as a weapon to isolate China and interfere in its internal affairs. This is a dangerous and irresponsible act of aggression.

It is important to remember that the Uyghurs are a minority group in China and they are being targeted simply because of their ethnicity and religion. They deserve our support and solidarity.

The US is being hypocritical! They deport hundreds of thousands of people every year, yet they criticize Thailand for deporting Uyghurs? This is a blatant double standard.

I applaud the US for taking action against Thailand for its role in deporting Uyghurs to China. These people are facing persecution and potential torture in China, and they deserve our protection.

The US has no right to interfere in the sovereign affairs of other countries. Thailand has the right to deport anyone it deems a threat to national security.

China and Thailand are cooperating to combat smuggling and other illegal activities, and this is perfectly legal according to international law. The US should mind its own business.

This is a positive development in the fight for human rights and I hope it will lead to further progress in protecting the Uyghurs from persecution.
