Israel Shatters Ceasefire in Gaza, Killing Hundreds

Overnight air strikes by Israel shattered the ceasefire in Palestine's Gaza, killing at least 300 Palestinians in their sleep. This deadly escalation followed Israel's order for evacuations in parts of northern Gaza, as Prime Minister Netanyahu warned of expanded military incursions.

The White House confirmed that the Trump administration was consulted by Israel on these strikes, which have killed hundreds of people, including women and minors.

Clashes Erupt in India over Aurangzeb Tomb

Violent clashes erupted in the Indian city of Nagpur on March 17 after the right-wing Hindu nationalist group Vishwa Hindu Parishad protested, demanding the demolition of a tomb dedicated to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Authorities clamped an indefinite curfew on parts of the city as the group burnt an effigy of the emperor and chanted slogans demanding its removal.

Israeli Army Orders Forced Displacement in Gaza

Following the overnight air strikes on civilian areas, the Israeli army issued forced displacement orders to Palestinians in Gaza, breaking a nearly two-month ceasefire. At least 413 people have been killed and 660 others, mostly women and children, have been injured.

The Israeli army ordered Palestinian civilians in the towns of Beit Hanoun, Khuzaa, and Abasan to immediately leave their areas, calling them "dangerous combat zones." Thousands of Palestinians fled amid deadly air strikes on Gaza.

Protests in Jerusalem Against Netanyahu's Government

Israeli police violently dispersed a protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government in West Jerusalem. Demonstrators demanded an end to the war on Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal, after Israel resumed its attacks on the Palestinian enclave on March 18.
