Beijing Welcomes a Surge in Foreign Travelers with Visa-Free Policies
As of March 17th, Beijing has witnessed a significant increase in foreign travelers entering and exiting its ports. This surge is attributed to China's optimized visa-free policy and other measures aimed at enhancing international exchanges.
Data from the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection reveals that nearly 940,000 foreign nationals have entered and exited Beijing's ports since the beginning of the year. This represents a more than twofold increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, over 236,000 individuals benefited from visa-free and 240-hour temporary entry policies.
The majority of inbound foreign nationals come mainly for tourism, business, and family visits. The total inbound and outbound passengers through Beijing's ports have surpassed 4 million as of March 17th, representing a 23 percent increase from the same period last year.
The Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection remains committed to facilitating a safe and efficient travel experience for domestic and international passengers. They have implemented a series of measures, including a multilingual service center for foreign travelers.
