Trump and Putin to Discuss Dividing Ukraine in Peace Talks
Former US President Donald Trump has revealed that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin will be discussing the "dividing up of certain assets" in Ukraine as part of potential peace talks. These talks would also include the division of "land and power plants."
The announcement came as Trump was flying from Florida to Washington on Air Force One on Sunday night. He stated that "a lot of work has been done over the weekend" and that they "want to see if we can bring that war to an end."
Trump's comments were made in response to a Russian official stating that Moscow would seek "ironclad" guarantees in any peace deal that NATO nations would exclude Kyiv from membership and that Ukraine would remain "neutral." Russia's deputy foreign minister, Alexander Grushko, also reiterated the Kremlin's position that Moscow is categorically against the deployment of NATO observers to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Andrii Hnatov as the new chief of the general staff of the armed forces. This appointment comes as the war-torn nation announced it was restructuring and strengthening its military.

😠 Dividing a sovereign nation? Absolutely disgraceful. This is appeasement, not peace.
