According to a correspondent from Al-Nour Radio, Israeli forces opened fire using machine guns at the Al-Asi site, which sits opposite the Lebanese town of Mays Al-Jabal. This gunfire was aimed toward the outskirts of the border-adjacent area, highlighting ongoing tensions at the contested Israel-Lebanon border.
At the same time, diplomatic efforts continue to extend the delicate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Journalist Barak Ravid from Axios reported that the United States has put forward a fresh proposal to both parties involved, one that involves extending the current ceasefire arrangement.
The newly outlined proposal includes exchanging an extended ceasefire for the release of five live hostages, as well as for the transfer of human remains, specifically mentioning the case of Moriah Asraf. Remarkably, this new proposal advises explicitly disregarding communications from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
Meanwhile, sources reported by Al Jazeera revealed that Hamas examined the mediators' ceasefire proposal, made certain amendments to its terms, and has already submitted the revised agreement back to the mediators today. This development points to an evolving diplomatic dialogue attempting to maintain fragile stability while addressing humanitarian concerns in Gaza.

Strange how quickly the report glosses over Hamas’ atrocities against civilians.

This report seems biased, why are we constantly framing Israel negatively? I question the accuracy of these statements.

Questionable negotiations—how can Hamas earn legitimacy if it still holds innocent people captive?
