Trump Administration Spends $200 Million on Self-Deportation Ad Campaign for Undocumented Immigrants

Trump Administration Launches $200 Million Ad Campaign to Encourage Self-Deportation

The Trump administration is spending $200 million on an ad campaign encouraging undocumented immigrants to self-deport. This comes as the federal budget faces significant cuts.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched a new app this week where migrants can declare their self-deportation, potentially allowing them to return to the U.S. legally in the future.

The ad campaign, titled "Stay Out and Leave Now," will run on radio, television, and digital platforms in multiple countries and languages. It will target undocumented immigrants both inside and outside the U.S.

The ads feature Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and President Trump, urging undocumented immigrants to leave the country now if they want a chance to return legally in the future.

This costly ad campaign comes as the DHS has fired over 400 federal employees in recent months as part of the Trump administration's efforts to reduce the workforce.

The CBP One app, which allowed migrants to schedule appointments at ports of entry to seek asylum under the Biden administration, has been repurposed for this self-deportation campaign. The app was revoked after Trump took office and his administration began its crackdown on illegal immigration.

Noem claims that the Biden administration "exploited" the app by allowing migrants to legally enter the country through appointments. She states that the new CBP Home app will restore integrity to the immigration system.

The ad campaign and app are part of the Trump administration's broader efforts to deter illegal immigration. The administration has also implemented policies such as building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and separating families at the border.

The previous administration's weak border policies led to a surge in illegal immigration. This administration is taking action to reverse that trend.

Shame on the Trump administration for preying on people's fear and desperation. This policy is inhumane and does not represent American values.

The CBP One app was being abused by asylum seekers who were not truly seeking asylum. This new app will close that loophole.

We must not be swayed by the emotional pleas of those who want to break our laws. We need to be tough on illegal immigration.

The separation of families at the border was a difficult but necessary decision to enforce our immigration laws.

This program will help to restore integrity to the immigration system and ensure that only those who deserve to be here are allowed to stay.

Spending $200 million on ads to bully vulnerable people is not only cruel, it's a waste of taxpayer dollars. Prioritize education and healthcare, not fear-mongering.
