Florida Man Accused of Setting Strip Club on Fire and Throwing Urine at Officer
A Florida man is facing multiple charges after allegedly setting fire to a Tampa strip club and throwing a urine-filled bottle at a police officer.
According to Tampa Police, Arvin Solimanpoor, 29, entered the Pink Pony Showgirls strip club around 5 a.m. on Wednesday and fired his weapon multiple times inside the empty building. He then allegedly set the club on fire.
Responding officers apprehended Solimanpoor as he was dragging brush into the burning structure. Pictures from the scene showed thick smoke billowing out of the building.
Police recovered a handgun from Solimanpoor after taking him into custody. While in custody, Solimanpoor reportedly complained of thirst and was given a water bottle by officers. He then allegedly damaged a camera in the holding area, urinated in the empty bottle, and threw it at an officer.
Solimanpoor is now facing charges of arson with injury, shooting within a building, weapon possession during a felony, battery on an officer, and criminal mischief. He was taken to Orient Road Jail.
The fire caused traffic disruptions around the strip club, and residents were advised to avoid the area. One firefighter sustained minor injuries during the incident and was treated at a local hospital.

Punishing is easy, but understanding the deeper reasons is more constructive.

This headline sounds bad, but let's remember everyone has their own struggles behind the scenes.

I hope this man can get help instead of harsh punishment. It sounds like he really needs it.

His behavior was not only dangerous but beyond immature. No place in society for acts like this.

Not funny at all—arson and assaulting a police officer? Lock him up and throw away the key.
