Nuggets Bounce Back, Beat Thunder After Sunday Loss
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 140-127 on Monday night, led by Nikola Jokic's triple-double of 35 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists. This win came after a disappointing 127-103 loss to the Thunder in Oklahoma City on Sunday.
Jamal Murray also contributed significantly for the Nuggets, scoring 34 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the NBA's leading scorer and a top contender for league MVP alongside Jokic, finished with 25 points for the Thunder.
The Thunder, who have the best record in the Western Conference, saw their seven-game winning streak snapped. Lu Dort had a season-high 26 points and made eight 3-pointers, while Isaiah Hartenstein scored 20 points for Oklahoma City.
The Thunder led at halftime, but the Nuggets took control in the second half, outscoring the Thunder 73-54. Denver dominated the fourth quarter, much like the Thunder did the previous day. Murray's 3-pointer with just over 10 minutes remaining gave the Nuggets a 109-101 lead, and they never looked back.
The Nuggets showed their resilience by bouncing back against a younger, deeper team on the second night of a back-to-back. The Thunder, on the other hand, struggled without All-Star Jalen Williams, who left the game in the second quarter with a right hip strain. He had 12 points and six assists in 14 minutes.
The season series between the Nuggets and Thunder ends tied at 2-2, with each team winning both games at home.

Nuggets only won because Thunder were missing Williams. No excuses. 😤

Stop hyping the Nuggets, they're not even close to the Thunder's level. 🥱

Gilgeous-Alexander is the real MVP, not Jokic. Just sayin'. 😎
