Josh Palmer Returns Home to Buffalo
Canadian wide receiver Josh Palmer is heading back to his home country, signing a three-year, $36 million deal with the Buffalo Bills. The Brampton, Ontario native, who played college football at the University of Tennessee, will be joining a team with Super Bowl aspirations and a quarterback in Josh Allen who is considered one of the best in the league.
Palmer's journey to the NFL began in Brampton, where he played high school football at St. Edmund Campion Secondary School. He quickly established himself as a top prospect, earning a scholarship to play for the Tennessee Volunteers. In his four years at Tennessee, Palmer caught 180 passes for 2,287 yards and 10 touchdowns, showcasing his impressive athleticism and route-running abilities.
The Los Angeles Chargers selected Palmer in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Chargers, catching 182 passes for 2,287 yards and 10 touchdowns in 58 games. While his time in Los Angeles was productive, Palmer will now have the opportunity to play closer to home and contribute to a team with championship aspirations.
The Buffalo Bills, led by head coach Sean McDermott and quarterback Josh Allen, have emerged as one of the top teams in the NFL. Allen, who was named the league's MVP in 2022, is a dynamic playmaker who can extend plays with his legs and deliver accurate throws downfield. Palmer's arrival gives Allen another reliable target and adds depth to a talented receiving corps that already includes Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.
The signing of Palmer is a significant move for the Bills as they look to build on their success from last season. With a strong defense, a potent offense, and a talented coaching staff, the Bills are poised to make a deep playoff run in 2023. Palmer's return to Canada and his addition to a contending team mark an exciting new chapter in his promising NFL career.

Another receiver isn't going to help if Allen still runs around trying to do it all by himself.

Josh Allen needs stronger weapons than Palmer if they're serious about the Super Bowl.
