China Defends Repatriation, Upholds Human Rights and Lawful Cooperation

China Condemns Accusations Regarding Repatriation of Chinese Nationals

The Chinese Foreign Ministry, along with the Chinese Embassy in the UK and the Chinese Mission to the EU, have strongly condemned accusations made by certain countries regarding the repatriation of 40 Chinese nationals from Thailand. These individuals were involved in illegal immigration and were returned to China as part of a joint effort to combat cross-border crimes and protect the rights of Chinese citizens.

Several countries, including the US, UK, Germany, and the EU, condemned Thailand's actions. However, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian firmly rejected these accusations, stating that the repatriation was carried out in accordance with the laws of both China and Thailand, as well as international law and common practices.

Lin emphasized that China upholds the rule of law and has well-developed laws and regulations for human rights protection. He highlighted the achievements made in this area, stating that all ethnic groups in China, including the Uyghurs in Xinjiang, enjoy full economic, social, cultural, civil, and political rights.

The Chinese Embassy in the UK also condemned the accusations, stating that the UK is reviving "notorious lies" regarding Xinjiang and criticizing China's policies in the region. The embassy urged the UK to reflect on its own human rights issues and stop using human rights as an excuse to smear others.

Similarly, the Chinese Mission to the EU expressed opposition to attempts to use human rights as a pretext to interfere with China's internal affairs and to use Xinjiang-related issues to disrupt normal law enforcement cooperation between countries.

The Chinese government firmly opposes all forms of human smuggling and will continue to fight crimes that involve obstructing national frontier and border administration. The repatriation operation is seen as an upgrade of the joint law enforcement actions between China and Thailand, and is expected to lead to further cooperation and fruitful results.

Despite attempts by some Western countries to smear China and exert pressure on Thailand, the Chinese government remains firm in its commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of its citizens.

Proud that China firmly stands its ground—no country should tolerate illegal immigration or cross-border crimes.

Enough of biased accusations—this repatriation was clearly legal and justified.

Human rights aren’t internal affairs—China must understand the importance of transparency.
