Blake Lively Makes a Stylish Appearance at SXSW Amidst Legal Battle
Blake Lively made a stunning appearance at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, seemingly unfazed by her ongoing legal battle with actor Justin Baldoni. This marked one of her first public appearances since both she and Baldoni, who co-starred and co-directed the film "It Ends With Us," filed lawsuits against each other.
Lively exuded confidence and grace as she posed for photographers, interacted with fans, and signed autographs during the world premiere of her new movie, "Another Simple Favor." She donned a captivating light pink latex dress adorned with a black-laced floral design. The ensemble featured a cinched waistline and a matching collared latex cover-up, adding a touch of sophistication. Her hair was partially pinned up, showcasing loose waves.
Inside the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, Lively expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her role as Emily Nelson in the sequel to the 2018 film "A Simple Favor." "I love this character so much. It's probably my favorite character I've ever been fortunate enough to play," she shared during a panel. "When Paul [Feig] asked us to come back, I was so excited."
Lively also revealed that she initially felt nervous about the first film, unsure whether it would be a drama or a comedy. However, director Paul Feig's reassurance and the film's success alleviated her concerns. However, she admitted to experiencing some nerves again before filming the sequel, as Feig presented a new and unexpected idea.
Lively's co-star, Anna Kendrick, remained tight-lipped when questioned about working with Lively amidst the legal battle. In a video shared by Entertainment Tonight, Kendrick appeared to deflect the question and proceeded to take photos with fans. Similarly, when asked about the film's release in light of current events, Kendrick jokingly responded, "Why, what happened? I did ayahuasca, and the last year of my life is just gone."
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni continues, with both parties arguing over the level of protection and confidentiality required in the case. Lively's lawyers have requested an "attorney's eyes only" designation for evidence, particularly text messages with "high-profile individuals," to be kept private. However, Baldoni's lawyer has opposed this request, stating that the defense should be able to access and utilize relevant information.
Judge Lewis Liman has yet to make a decision on the protective order. The legal proceedings are ongoing.

This legal battle is a personal matter between them. We shouldn't judge them based on limited information.

This sounds like a power play from Lively and her lawyers. They're trying to control the narrative.

It's hard to believe she's the same charming Emily Nelson from the movie. This legal battle is showing her true colors.

It's her right to continue working and promoting her movies while going through a legal battle.
