Russia Launches Devastating Attack on Ukraine, Zelenskyy Seeks Constructive Dialogue with US

Ukraine Seeks Constructive Dialogue with US in Saudi Arabia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed his commitment to engaging in a constructive dialogue with US representatives in Saudi Arabia next week. The aim of the meeting is to discuss ways to end the ongoing war with Russia.

"Ukraine has been seeking peace from the very first second of this war," Zelenskyy stated. "Realistic proposals are on the table. The key is to move quickly and effectively."

The Ukrainian delegation will include Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Zelenskyy's Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. They will meet with the US team on Tuesday following Zelenskyy's meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday.

Russia Launches Devastating Attack on Ukraine

Russia launched a devastating attack on Ukraine on Saturday, killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens more. Two ballistic missiles struck the center of Dobropillia in the eastern Donetsk region, engulfing a five-story apartment building in flames. As emergency services arrived, Russia launched another strike on the same area, killing eleven civilians and injuring 30, including five children.

Three people were killed and seven injured in a drone attack on the city of Bogodukhiv in the eastern Kharkiv region. Russia fired two missiles and 145 drones at Bogodukhiv, according to Ukraine's air force.

Zelenskyy Calls for More Sanctions on Russia

In response to the attacks, Zelenskyy called for more sanctions on Russia. "Such strikes show that Russia's objectives have not changed," he wrote on Facebook. "Therefore, it is crucial to continue to do our best to protect lives, strengthen our air defenses, and increase sanctions against Russia. Everything that helps Putin finance the war must collapse."

Polish Prime Minister Condemns Appeasement

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk condemned appeasement towards Russia, stating that it leads to more tragedy in Ukraine. "This is what happens when someone appeases barbarians," Tusk wrote on X. "More bombs, more aggression, more victims. Another tragic night in Ukraine."

Other Developments

The Russian defense ministry announced the recapture of Viktorovka, Nikolayevka, and Staraya Sorochina in its Kursk region.

Moscow's defense ministry said its air defense systems had destroyed 31 Ukrainian drones over the previous night.

Australia's prime minister, Anthony Albanese, said his country would consider taking part in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy is a puppet for the US government. He wouldn't know peace if it bit him in the face.

Don't fall for Russian propaganda. They're portraying themselves as protectors of the people in Donbas, but they are the real oppressors.

We need more independent media coverage of the war in Ukraine. Don't rely on biased sources that push the Kremlin's agenda.

People of Donbas deserve autonomy, but not at the expense of Ukraine's sovereignty. Putin wants to break up Ukraine and bring it back under Russia's control.

There can be no appeasement with a dictator like Putin. He only understands the language of strength.

Ukraine is using its citizens as human shields. This is a war crime.
