China's Procurator-General Ying Yong on Strengthening Foreign-Related Procuratorial Work

In an exclusive interview with China Daily, Ying Yong, prosecutor-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), discussed the growing importance of foreign-related procuratorial work in China. He highlighted the increasing number of foreign-related legal cases due to China's expanding global presence and the need for stronger legal support for Chinese enterprises and citizens venturing abroad.

Ying emphasized the crucial role of foreign-related procuratorial work in combating transnational economic crimes, protecting intellectual property rights, and fostering a sound legal framework for businesses. He also stressed the equal protection of legitimate rights and interests of both domestic and foreign entities.

The national conference on foreign-related procuratorial work held in Shanghai in November 2023 and the subsequent guideline published by the SPP demonstrate the commitment to enhancing the quality and efficiency of this work.
