Power Outages Mount as Cyclone Alfred Approaches
Cyclone Alfred is nearing mainland south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales, leaving over 200,000 homes without power. Electricity distribution network providers Energex, Essential Energy, and Ergon are reporting widespread outages across the affected areas.
Gold Coast: Over 118,000 properties are without power.
More than 36,000 homes are affected.
Approximately 20,000 properties are experiencing outages.
Around 21,000 homes are without power.
Over 4,600 properties are affected.
Northern NSW: More than 35,000 homes and businesses are without power due to severe winds and heavy rain.
