Mobile Rice Processing Center Enhances Emergency Grain Support in Fuzhou
A container-sized mobile rice processing center has been deployed in Fuzhou, Fujian, significantly boosting the region's emergency grain support system. This innovative facility can process 100 metric tons of paddy daily, enough to feed 150,000 people. Despite its compact size, the center integrates threshing, dehusking, and milling into one efficient unit.
"We have combined all necessary functions into a single system," stated Xie Zeliang, general manager of Hubei Tianhe Machinery Co, the company behind the equipment. The center is easily controlled via smartphone and requires no technicians. Unlike conventional centers, this mobile facility is more flexible, cost-effective, and easy to deploy.
The system allows stored grain to be rapidly processed on-site, utilizing capacity reserves instead of relying solely on finished grain reserves. "Our main clients include grain reserve enterprises and emergency support departments," explained Xie.
Developed in 2022, the center produces rice that meets national standards while maintaining a compact size and high output. It is already operational at a grain reserve facility in Fujian. Local governments plan to support companies with similar technologies through funding, talent recruitment, and favorable policies.
"In emergency situations, the ability to quickly process paddy into rice is critical," emphasized Liu Yangbo, director of Ezhou's development and reform commission and grain bureau. "This equipment can boost production and ease market pressures during tight supplies."
The company, which developed the center as part of a provincial grain research project, plans to continue upgrading its technology and welcomes further policy support for research and market development.
