Britain and France to Continue Intelligence Support for Ukraine
Despite the US halting intelligence sharing with Ukraine, Britain and France have pledged to continue providing intelligence support. While the capabilities of these countries are not as extensive as those of the US, they will still allow Ukraine to maintain some early warning systems and deep strike capabilities.
The UK will continue to provide its analysis of raw data, but will not simply pass on US information due to normal intelligence practice. France has also stated that it will continue to provide intelligence, emphasizing its "sovereign intelligence" capabilities.
However, there are concerns that the US decision could make it easier for Russia to renew its offensive towards Kharkiv. Ukraine may struggle to detect incoming missiles and bombers, and the safety of civilians could be jeopardized.
Despite these concerns, some experts believe that Ukraine's own intelligence capabilities, satellite services, and agents in Russia will be sufficient to strike stationary targets deep inside Russia. The impact on the frontline may not be significant.
The US decision to halt intelligence sharing is seen by some as a political move to force Ukraine to engage in diplomatic activities and set out its negotiating position. The goal is to bring about an end to the three-year war in Ukraine.
While the US has also halted military aid for Ukraine, the UK and France have not followed suit. The UK has played a crucial role in the destruction of high-value Russian targets, and Ukraine's military intelligence organization relies on some foreign intelligence for sabotage operations and real-time updates on Russian bomber deployments.

It's unfair for foreign countries to get involved in this conflict and potentially sacrifice their own security for Ukraine.

This sends the wrong message to Russia, making them believe Ukraine has more support than they actually do.

The potential loss of civilian lives due to Russia's renewed offensive is a horrifying consequence of this continued support.

Providing intelligence could be seen as an act of aggression by Russia, further straining international relations.

This will hopefully deter Russia from escalating the conflict and encourage them to seek a peaceful solution.
