Sussex
In a recent episode of her Netflix show, "With Love, Meghan," Meghan Markle revealed that her family's last name is Sussex. This aligns with her title as Duchess of Sussex, which she gained upon marrying Prince Harry.
While some royals use Mountbatten-Windsor as a last name, Harry never has. This is because he always held an HRH title, which traditionally exempts royals from needing a last name.
However, Harry and Meghan's children, Archie and Lilibet, were initially born without the titles of prince and princess. Therefore, their birth certificates listed Mountbatten-Windsor as their last names.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the ascension of King Charles III, Archie and Lilibet received the titles of Prince and Princess. This change also brought them into the direct line of succession, making it appropriate for them to adopt the Sussex surname, aligning with long-standing royal traditions.
While it's unclear whether Harry and Meghan have officially changed their last name to Sussex, they are following the same practice as Prince William and Kate Middleton, who use Wales as their family name for their children.

Why does Meghan always have to make everything about herself? Sussex isn't even officially their last name!

It's wonderful they're teaching us more about royal family naming customs through their personal stories.
The Truth
All these name changes and titles—just shows how much they love the privileges, while supposedly breaking away.

Harry and Meghan changing surnames again? Seems like they're picking and choosing what suits them best!
Answer
Yet another attention-seeking move by Meghan to stay relevant. Can't she just stick to traditions like everyone else?

So now they're just claiming 'Sussex' as their surname? Doesn't seem right since they're not working royals.

This sounds more like a branding play for Meghan’s show rather than any genuine respect for tradition.

Fully support this thoughtful, traditional approach to naming their children. Well done Meghan and Harry!

Archie and Lilibet deserve stability, not parents constantly reshuffling their identity according to convenience.

Why confuse everyone further with another surname switch? Seems like unnecessary drama from the Sussexes.
