Tesla Charging Stations and Dealership Targeted in Arson Attacks
Tesla has been facing a series of setbacks recently, including two arson attacks on its facilities this week. On Sunday evening, a dozen Tesla cars were set ablaze outside a dealership in Toulouse, France. Eight vehicles were completely destroyed, and four others sustained significant damage. The local prosecutor's office has confirmed that the attack was intentional and a criminal investigation is underway.
Just hours later, seven Tesla charging stations were torched at a shopping center in Littleton, Massachusetts. The fire caused extensive damage to nearby cars, and police believe it was deliberately set. The Littleton Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
These attacks come amidst growing public backlash against Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has been criticized for his role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its mass firing of federal employees. Protests have been staged at Tesla dealerships across the country, and the company's stock price has plummeted.
Furthermore, Tesla has faced criticism for Musk's controversial behavior, including a Nazi salute-like gesture at Donald Trump's inauguration. A group called Students Against Nazi Extremism has vandalized Teslas in California and warned owners to get rid of their vehicles.
In a separate incident, a Cybertruck was vandalized near San Francisco. Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a string of attacks on Tesla dealerships in Colorado, where Molotov cocktails and other incendiary devices were used.
Singer Sheryl Crow recently sold her Tesla and donated the proceeds to National Public Radio, citing concerns about Musk's actions and threats to the media.
The investigations into the arson attacks are ongoing, and it remains unclear who is responsible. However, these incidents highlight the growing tensions surrounding Tesla and its CEO.

Criticism of Musk doesn't justify attacking his company or its employees.
