A Booming Business
Thomas Mundy, a 65-year-old Trump impersonator, is living the high life. He spends his days on Florida beaches, attends lavish parties, and plays regular rounds of golf, all while embodying the persona of former President Donald Trump.
Since Trump's 2020 election loss, Mundy's business has skyrocketed. He receives constant requests for appearances at various events, from parades and golf tournaments to children's birthday parties.
While some find the idea of hiring a Trump impersonator for a child's party unsettling, Mundy doesn't shy away from such requests. He admits that kids' parties aren't his forte, but adult events are a different story. He often attends up to five parties per night, where he enjoys the attention and the opportunity to mingle with guests.
Mundy's success has inspired other Trump impersonators, like Eddie Tyson and John Morgan. Tyson, who also impersonates George W. Bush, emphasizes the fun aspect of his work and enjoys sharing tips with Morgan. Morgan, a former refrigerator salesman, has been playing Trump for six years and estimates he made over a million dollars impersonating Bush.
Despite their success, all three impersonators express genuine respect for Trump. They classify themselves as Republicans and Trump supporters, believing that he has the best interests of the country at heart. However, they also understand the importance of maintaining boundaries in their performances to avoid embarrassing the former president.
The booming business of Trump impersonators reflects the continued public fascination with the former president, even after his departure from office. Whether for entertainment or political commentary, these impersonators provide a unique way to engage with Trump's legacy and personality.

I think hiring an impersonator for children's parties is uncomfortable and inappropriate. Not funny at all.

As a Republican myself, I enjoy and support these impersonators. They showcase Trump's charisma and personality in a fun, positive way.

Are we really celebrating someone making over a million dollars just to pretend to be another person? Ridiculous.
