Three men, Louis Ahearne, Stewart Ahearne, and Daniel Kelly, are accused of plotting to murder Paul Allen, a former cage fighter who was paralyzed after being shot in the neck at his home in Woodford Green, east London, on July 11, 2019.
The prosecution alleges that the background to the shooting was that Allen was a "sophisticated" career criminal who had been involved in Britain's biggest armed robbery, at Securitas in Kent, in which £54 million in cash was stolen.
In the weeks leading up to the shooting, the defendants are alleged to have been involved in a number of other criminal activities, including a burglary at the Museum of Far Eastern Arts in Geneva on June 1, 2019, and another burglary in Kent the day before Allen was shot.
The prosecution alleges that the defendants had travelled from their home turf in the Woolwich area of south-east London to Allen's new home in Malvern Drive as part of the planning and execution of the conspiracy to murder him.
The defendants have denied conspiring to murder Allen.

It's horrifying that these men were willing to kill for money. What kind of people are they?
