Woman Convicted of Murdering Husband with Insulin After Running Ponzi Scheme Inspired by "War Dogs

Natalie Cochran, a woman from Beckley, West Virginia, was convicted of murdering her husband, Michael Cochran, in January 2025. The couple had been running a Ponzi scheme inspired by the movie War Dogs, in which they promised investors high returns on investments in government contracts. However, the company was a sham, and the Cochrans used the money to fund their lavish lifestyle.

As the scheme began to unravel, Natalie Cochran allegedly poisoned her husband with a fatal dose of insulin. She claimed that he had injected the hormone as part of his bodybuilding efforts, but prosecutors argued that she killed him to cover up her crimes.

Natalie Cochran was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. She is also serving an 11-year sentence for wire fraud and money laundering charges.

The case of Natalie Cochran is a tragic reminder of the dangers of Ponzi schemes and the lengths to which some people will go to cover up their crimes.

This case is a black eye on our society. It shows how easily people can be manipulated and how vulnerable we are to these types of scams.

I hope this story will serve as a wake-up call to lawmakers to crack down on Ponzi schemes and protect innocent investors.

The media has been quick to judge Natalie without knowing all the facts. We should wait for the appeal before making any assumptions.

It's sickening that Natalie Cochran showed no remorse for her actions. She deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm glad she was finally caught and held accountable for her crimes. Justice has been served, even though it doesn't bring back the lives she destroyed.

This case is a reminder that not everything you read in the news is true. We need to be critical thinkers and question everything.
