Ceasefire Agreement Reached Between Israel and Hamas
Following intense negotiations, Israel and Hamas have agreed to a temporary ceasefire that will begin with the start of Ramadan and Passover. The agreement was brokered by Steve Witkoff, an envoy of the President of the United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, half of the living and deceased abductees will be released on the first day of the ceasefire. If a permanent ceasefire agreement is reached, the remaining abductees will be released.
Witkoff proposed the ceasefire outline after recognizing that the two sides were unable to bridge their differences and end the war. He believes that more time is needed for negotiations on a permanent ceasefire.
The ceasefire agreement is a significant step towards ending the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. It is hoped that the ceasefire will provide a much-needed respite for both sides and allow for further negotiations on a lasting peace agreement.

How many ceasefires have there been, only to fail? History repeats itself; this agreement won’t last.
